support small businesses
with the holidays approaching, now is the perfect time to consider the types of businesses you’d like to support this season. i get that it’s so easy to shop big box stores or just shop with one click on amazon…i feel you on the convenience factor there. but would you join me in thinking through how you might be able to support your local shops or favorite small online businesses?
being a small husband and wife duo who handles every little thing for our company, we know first-hand how much love and passion goes into running a small business. the hustle is real, and it isn’t for the faint of heart. it takes dedication and a commitment to the craft. there have been so many hard moments which merited reason to give up and throw in the towel - but we care so deeply about what we do and why we do it, that quitting has never been an option for us.
i know so many amazing small business owners who share similar values like sustainability and passion for causes bigger than the bottom line. know that when you’re shopping with us and them, you are choosing to contribute positively to makers and creatives who care about you, the planet, and using business for good.
so, are you in? awesome. here are a few ideas:
shop your local, independently-owned shops in your neighborhood and city.
look for local pop up shops and fairs where you’ll probably be able to meet the artisans directly!
my friend ellie runs an amazing blog called selflessly styled which is an amazing resource for ethically-made clothing and goods. she puts together a holiday shopping list every year which i always look forward to!
check out our local stockists who carry our products and please shop with them if there’s a store in your city.
oh, and here are some real life photos of michael and i dropping off your goods at our neighborhood post office! yes, we pour, package, and ship every single item with our own two hands. love you guys, and happy holidays to you and yours!
from my heart,
